Pepper fan Mary Ann sent us this recipe for hummus WITH A KICK! We've also affectionately begun calling this "turbo hummus."
It's quick, easy, and comes together with ingredients you may already have in your kitchen. Most importantly though, it's delicious.
RECIPE AS FOLLOWS
1 can garbanzo beans (drained)
2 Tbs olive oil
1 Tbs lemon juice
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp garlic powder
salt to taste
Blend all of the ingredients up in a blender. We used an immersion blender and that worked great too. We also used 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped before adding to the blender) instead of the garlic powder, and the zip from the fresh garlic was real nice.
After blending, stir in 3 to 4 Tbs of Suhey Peppers. 🔥 Top with an additional pile of peppers in the center, and serve!
